2010 Schedule

SATURDAY - MARCH 27      2:00PM (PST) IDYLLWILD, CA        Nancy and Megan are doing a co-presentation at the new Chakra Shack gallery in Idyllwild. They will show the student documentary, “Chicken”, that was made by a senior at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in 2006, followed by brief readings from their new books – 12,000 Miles for Hope’s Sake (Megan Timothy) and Corn Field (Nancy Layton) – and Q & A with those gathered.

THURSDAY, MAY 13  6:00 PM (PDT)          HEMET, CA    Megan is speaking and signing books at the Hemet Public Library in support of the Hemet Adult Literacy Program. http://www.cityofhemet.org/library/literacy.htm

JUNE 1 – 3      Megan is in Lubbock, Texas, for speaking and signing events

JUNE 4 – 8      Megan is in Midland, Texas, for “meet & greet”, speaking, and signing events

JUNE 9 – 11    Megan is in Austin, Texas, for signing events

JUNE 12 – 15  Nancy and Megan are in Houston. Nancy will meet with researchers and other staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Univ of Texas, Houston) Megan is meeting with staff, volunteers, and clients at a new Aphasia Center in Houston. Both authors may be signing books at one of the area’s Barnes & Noble stores.

JUNE 16 – 22  Nancy and Megan will be in the Quad Cities (IL / IA) for speaking and signing events.

SATURDAY, JUNE 26 6:00 PM (CDT)  GREENFIELD, IA     What a fun event the two authors have planned, to include an art showing by Norm Melichar! This evening art show / reading / signing will take place at the Greenfield Opera House Community Center. For more information on Norm’s art, go to his website: www.melicharart.com

JUNE 28 – 30  Megan will be meeting staff, volunteers, and residents at Quality Living, Inc (www.qliomaha.com) in Omaha. Nancy will be meeting with staff and a support group at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Both authors may sign books at a local bookstore, to be determined.

JULY 1 – 20    Megan will be in the Denver / Boulder, Colorado, area, meeting brain Injury support groups, speaking and signing.

JULY 1 – 18    Nancy will be in the Salt Lake City area doing research for a future book based on her own family’s history. While in the area she will do a reading / signing at the Layton, Utah, Barnes & Noble.

AUGUST, 2010 Megan will be in Northern California, speaking and signing

AUGUST – OCTOBER, 2010   Nancy will be doing speaking and signing engagements in various locations in Southern California.
